Green Construct Conferences You Don’t Want to Miss This Fall

Now is the time to plan where you’ll travel this fall for professional development and conference participation.

Take a look at these opportunities to network with thought leaders and innovators, demo products in development, obtain CEUs, and maybe even take center stage with your own conference presentation. This September, head to Washington State for this year’s Built Green Conference and enjoy the wild outdoors while you’re there.

This conference offers cutting-edge resources on a wide variety of green building and sustainability topics, including science/research, policy, affordability, community and environmental issues, design and implementation. The keynote speaker is Vien Truong, one of the country’s foremost green build policy experts and CEO of Dream Corps. There’s still time to get your proposals submitted for consideration, too (PDF).

With a focus on real-world operations, trends, and business efficiency, the CONSTRUCT Show heads to Long Beach, CA on October 3-5. This conference is an excellent venue for networking with engineers, project, managers, architects, and designers.

Educational sessions take an in-depth look at efficiency in business operations, management, career development, and business financials. This year, the keynote address will be delivered by acclaimed architect Thom Mayne, founding principal at the Morphosis architectural firm. Opportunities to earn CEUs, demo equipment, and join technical tours in the health and sciences and historic buildings will be available as well.

Where better to dive into design-build concepts than historic New Orleans for the annual Design-Build Conference and Expo running November 7-9? This is the only conference to take an exclusive, in depth look at the D-B process through educational workshops, roundtables, networking and recruiting opportunities, and exhibits.

Greenbuild International Conference and Expo goes to Chicago on November 14-16. Thought leaders and innovators will present on technology, design trends, and ideas that lead to sustainable projects from around the world. The schedule for 2018 is under wraps until June, but will include Master Series, workshops, plenaries, technical tours, and CEU sessions.

An exciting conference opportunity also taking place in November is Groundbreak, which will be held in Austin, TX on November 12-15. With over 80 sessions, attendees will have hands-on experiences including the innovation lab, CEU workshops, and Procore product training.

The Innovation Lab is where Procore engineers and developers present their current projects and attendees can demo and provide feedback as well as register for beta program participation. There’s still time to stand in front of the audience if you have an innovative story to tell or expertise to share. Conference planners are accepting speakers on a variety of topics to educate, inspire and even entertain fellow construction industry pros.
