U.S. Green Building Council Surveys Public on Green Building

The U.S. Green Building Council issued a new report gauging the public’s feelings about “sustainability and the environment.” So reports the Construction Specifier.

The survey came as part of the council’s Living Standard initiative. The study looked at community leaders, millennials, residential and commercial developers as well as the public. According to the report, 75% of the respondents identified environmental problems as “very or somewhat important to them,” but they don’t do much to address it in their lives. Nearly one-third of respondents said they have “direct, personal experience with bad health associated with poor environments or living situations.”
