Pennsylvania lawmakers voted to expand its E-Verify program, which requires private construction firms to run new hires through a federal verification system. So reports an ABC 27.

Supporters of the legislation claim "unauthorized labor" drives wages down and negatively impacts both employees and companies. Gov. Tom Wolf neither signed nor vetoed the bill.
