After Harvey, Goodman Urges Caution With HVAC System Restarts

Goodman Air Conditioning and Heating has released a list of warnings for service contractors and their customers to ensure homeowner safety after severe weather damage to HVAC systems.

Customers (homeowners and business owners) should be advised not to restart systems when they return to their dwelling or place of business after the hurricane. The company advises customers to contact a qualified contractor to conduct a complete assessment of the unity.

Standing water can damage HVAC, ventilation and heat pump systems. Restarting systems without proper assessment can put owners at risk for injury or further damage to their property.
