Despite Rumors, TransCanada Says Keystone XL on Track

Canadian energy company TransCanada said it is planning to move forward with the Keystone XL pipeline despite speculation regulatory setbacks in Nevada threatened to derail the project. So reports The Washington Times.

Construction is expected to begin next year. The company is working with landowners to secure requisite easements, but environmental groups said the announcement does not mean the pipeline’s construction in inevitable. The project is expected to cost $8 billion.
