Etna Facing $200K in Fines for Unmitigated Trench Hazards

Etna Construction Inc. was cited by OSHA for failing to protect workers from trenching hazards. So reports EHS Today.

OSHA found several violations at the company’s Philadelphia work site. Etna faces $208,560 in penalties for “failing to install protective systems inside the excavation area; failing to provide a safe means of exit from the excavation area; failing to correct excavation deficiencies; and not instructing workers on recognizing excavation hazards,” according to the article.
