Developers in Dallas-Fort Worth will add 19,632 new units this year, and next year that number jumps toa projected 24,309, according to a RealPage prediction. Across the nation, apartment construction is set to hit an all-time high. The Washington, D.C. metro area is a "distant second" in units under construction, while Houston is expected to have the biggest year-to-year jump in 2020.
