Activists Take Issue with Construction Worker Detained by ICE

Approximately 20 activists rallied against the dentition of a Hard Rock Hotel construction worker who was hurt during the building’s collapse last month. So reports New Orleans Public Radio.

Delmer Joel Ramirez-Palma was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and subsequently detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement two days after the incident. His attorney said the detention was retaliatory in response to Ramirez-Palma speaking out about the accident. He is being held in a correctional center in Louisiana.
