ABC Calls for 'Wait-and-See' Approach Despite Momentum

Anirban Basu, the chief economist for the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), said “momentum” is expected to continue through 2020, but advised economic uncertainties require a “wait-and-see” approach. So reports American Survey.

Construction projects climbed to a nine-month backlog in August, while employment and spending have “softened." Basu added a continuing workforce shortage will hamper the construction industry next year.
