The tool is designed to help licensure candidates plan for the transition from ARE 4.0 to ARE 5.0. The ARE is a multi-division test taken by all candidates seeking architectural registration in the U.S.
The release of ARE 5.0 is the latest update to keep aligned with current architecture standards of practice. To assist candidates with the transition, ARE 5.0, which launches in late 2016, will run concurrently with ARE 4.0 until June 2018.
To facilitate a candidate’s ability to determine the transition plan that works best for them, NCARB also developed a number of other processes. Those include Self-Transition to ARE 5.0 when the candidate is ready and interactive tools to prepare candidates for the testing changing and for licensure.
