First Female VP Paving the Way at Construct Firm

From the age of seven, Rebecca Collins knew she wanted to one day be president of Collins Construction. She’s one step closer to that job title. So reports The Herald News.

In early March, Collins took the helm as vice president of Massachusetts-based Collins Construction Co. Inc. After graduating from the construction management program at Roger Williams University, Collins focused her career working with larger general contractors and national construction management firms.

Wanting to bring her expertise back to her local area, Collins worked her way up in the business that her family founded in 1928. Even a generation ago, a female was not allowed to take a management leadership role. Now that this has changed, Collins hopes to lead the way for other women at Collins and beyond.
