Rhumbix: Closing the Tech Gap Between Craft Workers and Construction Managers

When you have hundreds, if not thousands of laborers, managers, and inspectors on job sites--and all of them need to get a handle on job data--the potential for miscommunication, calculation errors, and accidents is enormous.

Rhumbix, a new smartphone-based platform, is able to capture real-time jobsite data from crews and combine that with human oversight of data to allow construction management to stay on schedule and on budget.

In addition to optimizing and reducing administrative time, the app facilitates team safety by providing all crews with meaningful data—gathered via navigation and geolocation technology—on their labor hours. Rhumbix was developed by two former Navy vets, Drew DeWalt and Zachary Scheel.
