Proposed Miami-to-Orlando Train Project Delayed Again

Completion of the two-phase rail construction project Brightline, which would bring high-speed rail between Miami and Orlando, is again delayed. So reports the Orlando Business Journal.

Under development by Florida East Coast Industries subsidiary All Aboard Florida, the $3 billion endeavor was divided into two portions and will miss its launch date, originally planned for Fall 2017.

The new projected completion date is winter 2017. The passenger rail would cut the travel time between Florida’s two biggest tourist cities from 4 hours to 3 hours, while giving passengers time to relax on their journey.
