Construction Spending Flat in September, Manufacturing Growth Slowed

The Commerce Department said September's construction spending remained even following a 0.8% bump in August. So reports CNBC.

The figure represents the weakest showing since June. According to the article, construction spending was expected to rise 0.1% in September. The Institute for Supply Management also noted a dip in manufacturing activity.
