Drop Ceiling Accident Leads to $24M Settlement

The family of Leon Oates, a construction worker at the Conshohocken Rowing Center, won a $24.1 million settlement from three construction companies after Oates has been rendered "infant-like" following a brain injury suffered while working. So reports The Legal Intelligencer.

Oates fell through a drop ceiling tile while working on the project. Oates was "unable to walk, communicate, or care for himself” following the accident.
