The arena will be the home of the Bucks basketball team. The project is the outcome of a historic public-private partnership between owners of the team and city and state government.
In addition to the arena, the project–Wilson Center District–will transform 20-acres of vacant land into an entertainment-district as well as residential and office space. Mortenson is the second-largest sports builder in the U.S., having completed projects for the Vikings, Braves and soon to construct the future home of the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco.
